 What is IPSC?

IPSC is the acronym for the International Practical Shooting Organization. IPSC is a dynamic shooting sport where the principles of Accuracy, Speed and Power are balanced in a unique scoring system. IPSC has defined Action Shooting. It requires competitors to shoot fast and accurately, often shooting on the move and developing techniques and styles to shave off fractions of a second between shots, during reloads and drawing from the holster.

If you're finding that the standard "shoot from the designated position" routine at your range is getting old, then IPSC is for you. No matter how good you become, IPSC will continue to challenge you. Competitors compete both against their own skill and against others of similar ability.

IPSC is an International sport, active in over 75 countries. IPSC Canada is our regional organization and is broken up into several Sections (Provinces). IPSC BC competitors have competed locally, Nationally and have also attended International competitions as far away as Europe, Africa and the Far East.

If you're not sure IPSC is for you, come check out one of our competitions. You can find out where they are by looking at our Match Calendar.
